Mile 0 to 2.3
We had an uneventful drive to the border this morning thanks to Ron and Nancy. With our camp site at Lake Morena (mile 20) secured we drove to the border monument. Tomorrow is forecast to be record heat so we decided to start with a few warm-up miles this afternoon. Tomorrow we will pick up where we left off this afternoon and walk 17 miles to Lake Morena. There is no cell service at our campsite so I'm actually composing this blog post while we are walking. Isn't technology grand! Here we go!
