Happy Birthday to Me

Day 68 - June 12
Miles: 0

It rained pretty much all night and by early morning it had turned to snow. At the usual wake up time there were inches on the ground and it was coming down hard. We were camped at 9200 feet elevation but had to immediately climb out of here to over 10200. I called up a weather forecast on the InReach sat com: horrible all day but clearing overnight. We have the food to sit this one out so that's what we did. By late morning the snow had turned back to mostly rain and it poured all day. It is now just after 6pm and finally it has let up. It wasn't much of a birthday celebration cooped up in the tent all day but the extra rest wasn't a bad thing. Tomorrow we hike.

  1. How do even find the trail in conditions like that? The tent does look comfy, though.
