Super Bloom Part 3 -- Upper Kern River

We have to thank our friend Ali once again. She told us this spot was really nice and she was correct, maybe even understated the glorious bloom. We thought it was marvelous. Not only did it look incredible, it smelled incredible. This small area is not a pristine reserve, it is an access road to a flume for a hydro plant. We use their road system to hike a short loop and experience the flowers from many angles.  It is amazing how the species and color change in just a few feet. This field is dominated by the yellow of the goldfields, the purple of the gilia, the magenta of the owl's clover, and the white of the popcorn flower.
