In spite of all the snow and wind, we did manage a few adventures exploring up in the Sierra during our week at Bishop. Our first trip was up to Tyee Lake. This tends to be a nice outing when the wind is blowing as the trees offer protection. There is one stream crossing, which we did on a snow bridge.

Next, our friends, Terri and Brenda, stayed with us for a few days and we did a driving tour with stops including the east entrance to Yosemite and Lundy Lake.

We also did a fun snowshoe with Hikin' Bill near Tioga Pass. Went in to Bennettville, and back out along the frozen lakes. The snow is getting sun cups, and melt out is speeding up with the high temperatures.
Great photos!
ReplyDeleteMan, making a creek crossing on a snow bridge sounds fun (dangerous!).The snow that's still on Tioga Pass is amazing. Y'all are studs. Great post.
