We planned a hiking week in the Sierra. There is 200% of normal snowpack. We didn't hike in the Sierra as much as we originally intended. Not only was there snow, there was high winds. Oh bother. We made plans with Hikin' Bill to do a car shuttle in the Inyos instead. Bill had hiked a bit of the first and end parts of our route. He disparaged it. Turns out the middle part had incredible views, and we had a bonus of flowers. Lots of flowers. It is a lovely spring time walk. Even Bill agreed.
