We try to do a family backpacking trip every year. For three years, I have known where I wanted to go, but with one thing and another, it took a long time to get there.
Bob and I had found a stunning campspot on one of our wanderings, which was where we took Bobby and Chandler. It did not disappoint. We also spent another day exploring the basin. This still left plenty of time for swimming and relaxing. And for hiding in the shade as our trip corresponded with a record heat wave.
