Arches Part 4 -- Escaping the Weekend Crowd

It was Saturday and we had a bit of Arches National Park to finish.  It would be a good day for an early start.  So, at sunup we were at Balanced Rock, then off to walk the Windows Sections trails.  There is kind of a rat maze trail thing, and we attempted to see all the arches without too much backtracking.  We definitely weren't the first ones there; those sunrise photographers beat us to it.  After that, we ventured off the paved road to see Tower Arch.  There were still plenty of people, but it was a lovely trail and we really enjoyed that area.

Balanced Rock

One of the Windows.

Turret Arch

Yes, I really liked this one.

North and South Windows

Reminds me of the Eye of Sauron.

A different angle on the windows.

Looks like spectacles from this side.

There's an arch in there.

Christmas Tree Arch.

Ribbon Arch

A very cool arch, and very inaccessible for the likes of me.

Double Arch

The dirt road out to Tower Arch was in better shape than the road to our house, but being a dirt road, most people won't drive on it.  A good choice for a Saturday afternoon.

Those are might cool towers.

Tower Arch

A major cool hoodoo!

Here is Bob's daily video compilation, for those inclined. And a link to the YouTube video for those reading by email.
