We headed down the non-traditional route to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary and did one of our favorite day hikes. Bobby and Chandler came along and did great on our 17 mile partially off-trail adventure. We thought they were toasted at the 12 mile mark, just to have them pass us like we were standing still at mile 17 when we were approaching the car. Oh, to be young.

We also managed to have one of those days that exemplify why the Sierra is called The Range of Light. It was perfectly stunning.

Chandler and Bobby volunteered to host a 50th Wedding Anniversary party for us. I wonder if they think we will be too old to do the 17 mile adventure hike???
